I got tired of being the only one who knew where everything was
So I learned to hand it off to AI. Now I teach small, in-person classes in Orlando for people carrying the same load at home and at work.
The short version
I’m Renee Seltzer. For 17 years I owned my own marketing agency and consultancy, helping organizations modernize: layering in new technology, rethinking how the work gets done, and getting busy teams to actually adopt the change. Along the way I served as fractional CMO for the University of Arizona and as VP of Marketing at Bluum.
Most recently I worked with Brown University’s leadership development team, partnering with Fortune 100 companies on:
- Change management for leaders taking their organizations through big shifts
- Weaving AI into company culture, not just into the tech stack
- Leadership programs that build new habits, rather than one-off trainings
- Helping executives explain the why, so their teams follow
- Checking whether new skills actually stick once the program ends
Over 27+ years in marketing, I’ve worked with Boston University, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, The George Washington University, Gonzaga, Creighton and Wiley, among many others.
That’s the part that matters for you. My whole career has been getting new skills and new technology to stick with people who are busy, skeptical and already carrying too much. AI is the same problem, with a much bigger payoff.
I live in Orlando with my husband and our three children. I’m also the one in my house who knows when every form is due.
Why I teach this
I started using AI for work, the way everybody does. Then one night I used it on the pile of school emails I had been avoiding for a week. It took eleven minutes, and I sat there slightly annoyed that nobody had told me.
So I kept going. That one assistant grew into a business brain that knows how Grit & Agency runs: my offers, my voice, the way I like things done.
Today I work with more than 30 AI agents. At work they handle business development, bookkeeping, marketing and market research. At home they help me plan parties, chase online returns, and keep up with the long list that used to live only in my head.
I do not write code. I built every one of them the way I teach it, one real problem at a time. And I no longer feel overwhelmed by all the moving parts of my life.
So I started telling people. Then a room of people. Then it turned into this.
What I am not
- Not an engineer. I do not write code and you do not need to either.
- Not a futurist. I have no opinion worth hearing about what happens in ten years.
- Not a therapist or a coach. This is a logistics problem, and I treat it like one.
What I actually know how to do
- Build a program and get people to turn up for it, which has been my job for most of my career
- Explain a technical thing to somebody who does not want a technical answer
- Sit with someone while something goes wrong on their laptop and not make them feel stupid about it
